Denon’s top-of-the-line DN-700R Network SD/USB Recorder combines high-end audio recording, comprehensive networking capabilities, and a robust feature set, to accommodate the most demanding professional installations.

Using ultra-reliable flash-storage media, the DN-700R lets AV pros replace traditional recording gear with modern, high-performance hardware that’s ideal for a broad range of applications. Boasting a rugged, 1U rack mountable chassis, the DN-700R is fitted with two SD card slots and also accepts USB storage media. You can configure it for concurrent recording to both formats or for relay/cascade recording when longer recording durations are needed.

Connectivity is king

The Denon DN-700R features generous professional connectivity that includes balanced XLR analog audio and AES/EBU digital I/O. Also onboard are unbalanced analog connections and S/PDIF. Sweetwater often configures sophisticated networked installations with the DN-700R’s network connectivity via DLNA/UPnP, where Web/IP control and direct FTP access come in handy – become even indispensable. With the DN-700R, you can even use your network for automatic or pre-programmed, scheduled archiving.

You’re in control

You can control the Denon DN-700R using various remote control interfaces, including IR handset, Parallel GPIO, RS-232c, and even a network using the unit’s onboard Web Remote, which gives you full control over the DN-700R, from setup menus to transport control and hot-start playback (this even works from mobile browsers). So you get total access to the DN-700R when it’s installed in a hard-to-reach location. The user-friendly front panel has a vivid OLED display and big function buttons that make for quick, confident operation, even in dim lighting conditions. And for easy file name editing, Denon has spec’d the DN-700R with a USB keyboard input.

Product Manager software

The DN-700R includes Denon’s Product Manager software, which provides you with over-network, single-point control of multiple players from your Mac or PC. Product Manager software gives you full access to Web Remote functions, as well as power-on and power-off sequences you can program remotely for single or multiple grouped units. Of course, you’ll also have programmable timer operation for both recording and playback functions.
